Called on friday to make an appointment for Monday. She says she has a 9 am appointment open so I say I'll take it. She says thanks and she'll see me then, but she didn't take down my information. So I show up today at 9 am for my massage. Place isn't open. I sit in the lot for 15 minutes and nobody shows up. So I left and went somewhere else.
The experience was amazing. I have gone to other massage therapist but this was one of the best. Was so relaxed after and all the tension in my neck and shoulders was completely gone. I will be making another appointment.
Great massage. I was relaxed very quickly. I was a little confused at the start of the massage as the woman pushed on my muscles gently all over my body which didn't feel much like a massage, more like a friendly shove. I realized once she started rubbing my muscles (in the traditional massage way) that she had warmed up my muscles and forced them to relax. I really liked this as my muscles seemed to respond to her touch more than other massages I've had in the past. On my paperwork I noted migraines and neck tension. She probably spent about 20 minutes of my hour massage on my head and neck which was wonderful. I didn't need an appointment, and on the way out of the door she gave me a handful of peppermints when I seemed enthusuastic about them. I will be back for another massage soon!
Pros: My husband had a good massage therapist and he fell asleep like 3 times. He said she did a great job. The location is quiet, clean, and relaxing. Cons: My massage therapist left for 5 minutes to go answer the front door when someone came. She still finished the same time as my husband's massage therapist did- did not make up the time. Her hand would stop on me a lot, and I didn't know why. Then when she left the room and I lifted my head, I realized she was playing a movie/show on her little ipad while she gave me the massage. I couldn't believe that- I have never seen such a thing in the many massages I've had. I didn't pay $60 (plus still did $5 tip) to have my time shorted, and her to watch a movie during. She jumped around a lot in her massage, and did it very hurriedly. Like she'd rub my upper arm, jump to my hand, rub a little on shoulder and move on. It had no flow or relaxing rhythm. When we first had arrived I asked her if they walked on the walk or did the slapping/tapping - and she said no it's a swedish massage. And yet they still did the slapping of the arms, feet and legs when finished. Neither my husband or I like this... but I guess they decided they'd still do their usual method? I am surprised they have a 5 star rating and I don't like to complain. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the lady I had. The other one is good, and we should have asked her name so we could go back to her. There's room for improvement from the other lady. If I ever go back, I will refuse one from her. :(
I have had many massages from different states and areas around SETX and this was by far THE BEST massage I have ever had!! Relaxing atmosphere, hot oils, stones, and towels. I needed a much long overdue massage and I called at noon and they had an opening immediately to get me in. Sue did an amazing job and has created a new raving fan! I can’t wait for my husband to try it now and they even do couples massages also! Call them and you won’t be disappointed!! Their hours of operation are awesome also!! I will be back!!
